To Crawl... or not to Crawl

Finley has made some major accomplishments recently...

*She can sit up from laying down

*She can wave

*She can pull herself up into the standing position

*She can sign "milk" while saying "bah-bah" (which is weird because we never say bottle)

But oddly enough, Finley cannot decide if she wants to crawl or not. She can get into position.. wiggle around a bit... rock back and forth... and then she normally rolls over onto her back with a toy (or screams). She does, however, roll like a champ. If we're not careful she will roll over to the closest non-baby item (see below with Nana laptop). She's a stubborn one!

Reading Richard Scarry

After bathtime, Finley gets story time! This week Nana gets to read to Finley. Here she is all clean and cozy! She picked out her own book. It looks like Finley is showing Nana how the story goes...

Bananas

We have these mesh pacificer thingys that you can put a banana in, and baby can suck it out through the mesh (sounds disgusting, eh?) Well Finley likes it alright... until she gets sticky. She was pretty cute trying to get the banana goodness in her!

Bath Time Fun!

What used to be a chore, is quite fun now..... Bathtime is one of Finley's favorite activities. She loves to roll around in the water. She goes from sitting, to belly time, to trying to run....(that's not always pretty).... She LOVES her bathtime!

Visiting Nyela

Earlier this month we took Finley to visit Nyela at the hospital. Nyela is the nurse who delivered Finley, when the doctor hadn't made it yet. Finley was Nyela's first delivery! Nyela was such a blessing in all of our lives... and now she has a little one on the way!

Helping Nana Unpack

After we got back from Missouri, Finley helped Nana unpack her suitcase. She got distracted, though, when she discovered Nana's huge mirrors!

Swimming with Grandpa

Finley got to go swimming with Grandpa Snooch before we left to come back to Tennessee. She had a great time chewing on his sunglasses, splashing around, and eating puffs!

Still Vacationing

Finley is teething. So to help her little "teefers" Ashley bought her her very first cookie. She did well with it, until she took a chunk off and Momma had to go digging down her throat for it! Yikes, maybe no more for awhile.

Finley loved the boat. She loved to stand on Momma and look over the edge.

A Jessica Sandwhich... Finley is so lucky to have two Aunt Jessicas that love her!


And at the end of the day, Finley winds down in Momma and Daddy's bed. She stays there too... she hasn't spent one single night in her crib. She hates it; and I would too.... It's terribly uncomfortable and outdated...Thank goodness for KingSize Beds!

Vacation time!

Here we are in Missouri, having a grand time. We went to the Walmart to get groceries for the week... Finley rode with Barney.

We've been spending time in the pool. Finley is a water baby for sure! Look how wrinkly she is! She sure doesn't mind, though.

Today Finley had her very first boat ride. She had to wear a lifevest that she hated. She looks ridiculous.

She loves her hippo floatie..... Her eyes got really puffy today because of all the sunscreen and chlorine... but that sure didn't stop Finley from having fun.
