Sunday Lunches

We are very blessed to have such a great friend group here in Tennessee. Every Sunday, after church, we go out to eat with our small group friends. Well today we had a very, very special guest (from whom these pictures hail!).... Miss Angie B! Thank you Angie for coming to lunch with us! We can't wait to hangout with you again.. soon!

Here is Miss Karisse trying to break into a fake tattoo machine

....and Finley really wanted to drive this car

Here we are with Miss Angie! We love Pizza Plus!

Isn't this a sweet family shot? We are all three completely exhausted in this picture... it was soon followed by a 2 hour nap!

Sesame Street Live

Tonight we went to see Sesame Street Live at Freedom Hall!
It was fantastic! We had to leave halfway through, because Finley was sooo tired, but she LOVED IT. She danced and clapped along.
It was actually a really good show. The dancing was great! And the special effects were really fun too! Our favorite part was when they all danced to and sang a version of "I need a hero!".....

Happy Birthday Party!

We had another big party for Finley. Her final one, and I must say it went out with a BANG!
Finn's party was with Mommy and Daddy's friends... So many people came! We are sooo blessed to have such a great "family" here!

Finley had the most incredible cake! Mommy's mentor teacher made it for her! It was a true princess cake!
Finley and Mac hung out on the rocking chair before the party started. No worries, we all kept our eyes on them. No dating for Finley until she's 30.
Auntie Kristen read the kiddos Olivia the Pig. We Love this book! Look how skinny Aunti Kristen is! She's lost over 60 pounds!
And the cake eating begins.... We had rules tonight. We sang "happy birthday" very softly, as not to draw attention to the sort of shy birthday girl. Karisse set on Mommy's lap, right next to Finley. We thought this might help encourage Finley to eat the cake.
Lookey here!!!! She took a few bites. She thought it was the most beautiful cake. She really was in awe. She just wasn't too interested in eating it. She wanted to touch the little dots and designs. She did feed herself a few bites. But then she was finished, other than wiping some in Karisse's hair.

Then it was present time! Finley got the cutest puppy dog, some little people, a baby and baby stroller, a fork/spoon set, a puppy dog that you can pull along, a pig book, cute shirt, and a cool thingy that hangs in the doorway!!!! She loved every present! And she told everyone thank you.

Beautiful Karisse!
Here is Finley's cake after the party ended!
And here is everyone else's cake. As you can see, it tasted as good as it looked!!!
....but Finley's favorite part of the cake was her heart topper. She played with it, chewed on it, and even took bites of it. If we would have known we might have just ordered her one of these!
