Valentine's Day Gifts

Today a very special package came for Miss Finley. Nana, Papaw and Auntie Jessi sent Finley a Valentine's Day surprise!
Finley got a special purse from the Bahamas, with Elmo on one side and her name on the other!
She LOVED the purse.

Dogs are Finley's favorite animal, and she got a new puppy dog for Vday as well! She took him out and cried: "Puppy", and then gave him a smooch... and a hug!

Finn also got lots of clothes, because she is growing out of all of hers and Mommy and Daddy are broke! Thanks Nana and Papaw and Auntie Jessi!!!

I won't grow up

Andrew was giving Finley a bath the other day, when she started grunting and her face turned red. He picked her up and ran her straight to the toilet. After much work, she made her first poopy on the potty!!! Now, she's only 13months, so we weren't planning on potty training, but it was a teaching moment. We're just letting her get comfortable with the toilet, so one day she really won't be scared. She lets us know when she's gone potty in her diaper, but she's not always telling us when she's about to go. Baby steps. ... but she was pretty excited about using her elmo toilet seat.

Happy Valentine's Day

Wow, things have changed a lot since last Valentine's Day! We are overwhelmed by God's blessings this past year. Finley is such a gift!

This year Finley got a very special Valentine's Day card from Daddy. We all three got lots of gift cards from Great-Grandma Judy. And Nana and Papaw sent Finley a bouquet of cookies... and all the sesame street characters!!!! What a great day!

WE got to go to Fun Expedition with our Small Group! Finley loved the lights, the games, and especially the slide! Daddy rode on with Finley three or more times. It was quite a night! We all slept well after that!

Cookies

We've been so busy with the school play, that we've had to eat out a lot. Luckily, Finley hasn't complained once, especially if we get dessert.

Much Ado

Things have been pretty busy around here! Crystal is directing a high school play with EHS and Finley and Andrew are official groupies. We wouldn't have it any other way!

Happy Birthday Zada Beth

Today we got to go to a special friend's 2nd birthday party.  Finley was woken up from a good nap to leave, so at first she wasn't too thrilled, but that all changed when we walked through the door.  Finley started out coloring with Zada Beth.  Then we all ate good food! Next, the girls and Jakeb played "pin the tail on the donkey".  Finley did very well.  We then had the best homemade cake... ever!  And we watched Zada open gifts.  Finley had such a great time, and so did we!!!

Rashy baby

We discovered a strange rash on Finley's whole body Friday night.  It's quite strange.  After calling the doctor we discovered it is 1 of two things:
1) she had a strange (painless) reaction to a pecan that she tasted earlier that afternoon
or
2) she had a strange (painless) reaction to a vaccine she had 2.5 weeks earlier.
But the good news is that she's still a happy girl!

Much Ado About Nothing

Our lives are pretty crazy around here. Both Momma and Daddy are in school and both of them work as well. Mommy is also directing a play at the high school where she used to student teach. So we are almost at rehearsal everyday. Finley gets to come and help out occasionally. She is a great assistant director!
