The Memphis Zoo

Today Finley visited the zoo for the very first time! We've been anticipating this trip for a LONG time. And today was a perfect day! The sun was shining and we had our sunscreen. Poor daddy got a burnt neck, but Finley is just fine!

Here is the grand entrance to the zoo. We have season passes, that includes a free guest pass every time we go!

Finley was really sleepy from the beginning...
But she soon became excited...

Here we are looking at the animals...

Finley's favorite animals were the giraffes. She waved at them and laughed at them.

The ostrich was abnormally large.

Finley rubbed sunscreen in her eyes and was upset for about 30 minutes. She broke out in hives, she was so upset. Poor baby.
But then she saw the fountain!
That's right.... Finley's favorite zoo exhibit was the fountain. There was a huge sign that read: Do Not Swim. Do Not Wade. Do Not Fish... etc.
Ooops.... But it was so hot!
And the water was so cold.

And Finley demanded that Nana let her SIT in the water.

So Daddy had to buy a new shirt, because the dress was soaked!
What a wonderful day trip!

We'll definitely be back!!! Often!
