My baby girl turns 1

If you know me, I love celebrating... so when my baby girl turns 1... I take it seriously. Andrew and I were adamant to save money on this birthday celebration, and with the help of my dad, we did just that. Libby Kate's birthday party was on her birthday. It was at a club where my dad works and he provided 3 yummy soups for all of our guests. Andrew and I made the cupcakes and LK's cake by ourselves and it was such a special time.

Not sure if we will ever make 100+ cupcakes again, but it was a great experience. Andrew and I experimented with fondant for the first time in order to make an owl (my new obsession) for the cake topper, and I will have to say that my friend Larry must be amazing, because cake work is HARD.... We wished he was here to help us, but we sure did our best!

Because I'm a crazy Mom, I insisted on waking up my sleeping babe with song and love! Daddy, Mommy and Fin snuck up into LK's room and woke her up with a birthday song!

Check out that face! How funny!

Oh, so happy!

A birthday breakfast of Libby Kate's choice: a nutragrain bar!!

I decided against taking pictures from the rest of our day, because poor LK had to have her shots at the Dr. She was quite the trouper, though and recovered well enough to party it up at her celebration!

The Birthday Princess:

Her bestie/cousin Miss Addy got there early!
LibbyKate's party was themed: Libby Kate's Winter ONEderland... Aunt Christa and Shannon took the theme very seriously. We love them!
Aunt Carrie got some lovins as well!
Papaw time
Nana's girl through and through..... Libby Kate got to spend every morning with Nana and she sure misses those mornings, now that we are in our new house. She still loves her Nana though.
Pretty girl!
The cutest moment of the night was when we sang to LK. Finley was so excited and proud of her baby sister. She grabbed her face and sang straight into her eyes. This melted our hearts beyond belief. I never imagined my two girls would love each other this much. What a gift.

Ohhhh Cake! Libby Kate realized this was for her!
Yum!

How cute is this picture?
I love this face. Those eyes melt my heart.
Finley loves Jaye, whom she refers to as "JayJay". Jaye is now Finley's neighbor and they share a special bond. They can't wait for the weather to get better so they can walk to each other's homes.
Oh, and Jaye loves cupcakes.

.... so does Finley
Addy is so cute here. She was trying not to fall asleep, while eating a chocolate cupcake.
Yum yum... this went on for awhile. She could eat forever.
Finley had to help LK open her presents. It was a big job and LK needed great assistance.

Some pictures of our special family/guests:

The hair..... this is how it really is...

The girls ended the night with a Big THANKYOU hug to Pap Snooch for all his hard work. He was up at the club at 7am getting things ready for this party. Thanks, Dad for everything. The party was perfect and everyon left with full/warm tummies and cake in their hair!
