That mornign we got the girls ready and put them in the van. Finley was so excited to get to go to Grandma Judy's house, because she adores her. We had our first Christmas that day with Papaw's family, but I of course forgot to take any pictures, because I was too busy stuffing my face with yummy food. I guess I was full by the time we went to Grandma Judy's house, so we were able to get some pictures. haha
We now have to make an effort to drive "in town". We are about 10 minutes from "town" and about 12 minutes from Nana and Papaw's house. We love it!
This girl LOVES her Aunt Jess! What a pair! Aunt Jess teaches 1st grade, so Finely is sure to get some educational play time whenever Jess is around. I am so blessed with the best 2 sisters a girls could ask for!
This was Jess and Brian's first Christmas as a married couple. We love Brian and I'm so glad to officially call him my Brother!
Oh, and Finley loves him too!
Aunt Jessie and Brandon and Addy arrived and Addy was still very sleepy. Finley had to help wake her up and get her back into the Christmas spirit! Easily done!
What a beauty!
Pretty Libby Kate ready to party!
Finley and Jaye play so well together. They are so cute and I just love how much they love each other. What dolls! I can just see them as teenagers sitting for hours and talking about boys!
....but for now, it's just coloring for them!
oh, and eating of course!
Yummy birthday cake for cousin Jon!
Jaye's smile in the picture reminds me of her MomMom, my Aunt Sue. So precious!
Aunt Jessie and Addy Rae
Uncle Steve took a turn with the girls. He's about to become a PopPop again to Zach and Jaime's Spring baby: Beau!
LK time with Aunt Jess
Zach and Jaime with baby Beau's little outfit. We can't wait to meet him!
Uncle Mike (soon to be grandpa) checking out baby girl Schaefer's new clothes!
More presents, please????

Papaw Loving time!

I'm telling you... this big girl is obsessed with Grandma Judy. We have to pry her away from her sometimes. Here she is wanting Grandma to play with all her new princess dolls that GJ got her!

What a great way to end a perfect holday season. The best part of Christmas celebration came when telling Finley the Christmas story. After I was finished she and I talked about what Christmas is really about. She told me that Christmas isn't about her, or presents or Mommy and Daddy... but about the baby Jesus. She said Jesus came down so he could die for us and so we can be with Him in heaven. Pretty smart for an almost 4-year-old. She is such a sweet girl and I know she has Jesus in her heart... what more could a Mommy hope for?
